Choosing Your Artwork

Choosing the right artwork for your room can be tricky as not only does it have to 'speak' to you but it needs to set the right tone to your room.  Below you will see the different effect each painting has in the same room.
TIPS: Making the Most of your Artwork

· Give it room to breath—de-clutter your space  so your artwork is the commands its place.  At the same time you don’t want it ‘looking lonely’ so dress the space to enhance the art.

· Is your wall colour the right choice to compliment your art—sometimes it can be a subtle change of colour to bring out the  colours in your painting and at the same time freshen your area.

· Hang your art so that it looks balanced on the wall.  The Rule of thumb is for the centre to be eye level but consider to size and  balance too.

· To avoid holes everywhere cut our a sheet of paper the same size as your painting and use Blu Tack to attach it to where you think the painting would suit—then you can stand back and judge.

· Use the ‘hangers’ that come with your painting as they will have been supplied to hold the weight and proportion of your artwork.

WHAT'S HAPPENING ON MY WEBSITE

From December to February I was unable to access my website - you can imagine the stress that would cause.
To make things even more difficult my computer crashed and burned.   I had then to reinstate a new (secondhand) computer.
That was just the beginning.
Getting myself back on track retrieving computer files and my website  took a lot of time and effort.  Thankfully, I am back on track and now using this opportunity to making changes to this website to make it a more enjoyable place for you to visit.
Along with many changes made here you will notice a lot of new products in the 'Shop'.  These have resulted from the "Art Alive" exhibition where items where bought in to complement a range of paintings.  Some items are more directly linked than others, as you will see.
Overall, these last four months have been quite challenging.  However, the goal now is to enable an online access to my gallery all year round.  I hope you are enjoying it.

GALLERY HOURS

The Gallery is now closed until the coming season.  It will Re-opens on the 26th November 2024 and will be open until Easter Saturday 2025.
The hours will be 1pm- 4pm every Saturday and Sunday.
The gallery accessibility is weather dependant and, therefore, will not be open if it is raining.
